Check out out Columbus Rapper, Bruce Slaughter cover J Dilla’s “United/Fantastic” with a live band.
Bruce’s music employs a soulful vibe, coupled with introspective subject matter, illustrating the hopeful spirit of a people navigating through harsh conditions.
One evening he and some friends gathered and crammed in Flat Foot Shop, a Columbus based vintage retail shop owned and curated by Larry Robertson. Joining forces with videographer/director Josh Miller of Matchbox Ltd., backed by keys and a saxophone, this stripped-down rendition shares an intimate and passionate message of hope and love. As he constantly struggles with the notion of happiness and success through college, its important for Bruce to speak on the things that helped him through.
Coming off the release of the “No Crowns EP”, he is set to release his second EP “Dancing Silhouettes” in February of 2016.
