Here at FlyPaper Magazine we like to give our readers a well rounded dose of happy hours. This includes the local ‘hood bar, a suitable spot to take bae, and of course a straight up chill bar-all of which are included in this month’s Happy Hour Shoutout. We’d love to hear from our readers on their favorite happy hours to frequent, so feel free to comment or drop us an email on a spot we should feature in the future.
1/2 Priced Menu
One of the main reasons happy hour was invented was to make the bar more accessible to the folks with smaller wallets, but it seems a lot of spots around town have forgotten that concept. Whenever I come across a restaurant that offers a full blown happy hour I feel as if I won the lottery, especially if the specials fall onto the weekends. Brick American Kitchen offers 1/2 priced drafts, wines, and appetizers Tuesday-Saturday from 4:00-7:00 pm. The restaurant is ideal for a wind down with bae or friends.

$3.50 Long Islands
Ahh, what can’t be said about the popular yet reliable Long Island cocktail? The longtime tradition comes with a drunk-guarantee, while it is also guaranteed to decorate your morning in one of the most colorful shades of hangovers you’ll ever experience after a night of drinking. Every Friday the Village Idiot sells pints of Long Islands for only $3.50 from 5:00 pm-2:30 am.

$1 Henny & Patron
Okay, so we don’t know how long Club Shonteria’s will offer their new $1 Hennessy & Patron happy hour on Thursday and Friday but we do know you’d better get there while it last. Here’s the low down: The Thursday Happy Hour is 30+ from 6 pm-12 am while the Friday happy hour is 21+ during that same time frame. Though the special typically applies to Hennessy and Patron the bar has included Grey Goose in the past. The $1 happy hour makes the perfect pre-game spot because after midnight the crowd gets a little…umm, funny looking, though it does make for good entertainment.
