The architect of data tampering in Columbus City Schools pleaded no contest this morning to a felony charge. Stephen B. Tankovich, 66, who oversaw the district’s data reporting to the state, was the first to be charged in connection with a long-running scheme within the district to avoid being held accountable for students with poor attendance and low test scores.
