scarface fri dec 28th

Wearing a red OSU Buckeyes hat and a red sweater Scarface blessed the Skully’s stage Friday, December 28th 2012. And even though The City was recovering from a storm, and preparing for more snow, the fans came out.

Starting out in complete silence his un-mistakable voice breaks in and the well known melody of Mr.Scarface begins — the whole crowd joins in immediately, and so begins over an hour full of Hip Hop classics. From My Block, Smile for Me, Never Seen a Man Cry, to Money and the Power, Scarface didn’t disappoint. His performance was as purposeful as the Buckeyes hat, and aimed to please his fans, and to make new ones.

DJ Dommy Styles played the right music, at the right time. With a mix of 90’s hits, the hottest songs out now, and underground, he made sure the crowd never stopped moving. The opening acts handled the crowd well keeping the flow right and tight, true to Columbus and the perfect host to introduce Scarface, who after performing over ten songs ended with The Geto Boys, the anthem My Mind is Playing Tricks on Me.

Special Thanks to World Underground Radio, Unruly Records 614 & Luv Ent. for a fun, safe event.
